Down the octagon

Philadelphia, PA · 2026

The stairwell at City Hall

  • A rider in a rose-print shawl waits on the yellow platform edge as a train's red headlight glows far down the dark tunnel
  • A player in a red shirt plus blue cap leans in to shoot across a blue felt pool table, balls scattered in the foreground
  • A fan in a powder blue jacket wears a brown paper bag with eye holes as a neighbor tugs at its top, fans grinning behind
  • In black-and-white, a lone walker with an umbrella crosses a frosty lawn past a tall flagpole, smokestacks plus a crane tower in the mist
  • A runner in a neon yellow shirt jogs along a wet, curving path at dusk, lit windows of a large concrete building behind
  • In black-and-white, a rider in a Phillies jersey checks a phone on a subway bench, beside an ad urging riders to offer their seat
